Damn... So beautiful. It almost makes a man cry. Look what we make. The source of all culture. Yet so hated on by those who feed off of us. We show the world how to rock how to swing how to flow. Yet they hate. This song is so truthful and pure and beautiful and inspiring. Two decades after this song Eminem is crowned "the King of Hip-Hop". The battle never ends. Yet the truth is immutable. Through the hate we create and the world follows and the jazz keeps playing.

Because it depends on talent. Eminem is still the absolute fucking best in the genre. There is no "they" "we" or "us" who "showed others" There are just individuals all around the world who have more / different talent then others. Who gives a fuck what culture it is? Music belongs to everyone, its not to be claimed by a culture

1.) Buckshot Lefonque: Artist Brandford Marsalis: MC/Saxophone Frank McComb: Keyboards/vocals Russell Gunn: Trumpet Carl Burnett: Guitar Rocky Bryant: Drums 2.) Acid Jazz/Hip-hop Fusion 3.) Jazz Fusion 4.) I included this song because we listened to it on the first day of class and I really enjoyed the fusion and I knew (after asking for the artist and listening to them) that jazz fusion would be one of my favorite sections to study during this class.

Was a big pleasure to see them live back then with Bill Cobham joyning them spontaniously to jam around a bit on stage. Jazz meets hip-hop and crossover. No limits. Music is pure L.O.V.E.

Dang, why don't I know this group? Must be a regional thing because they were never played out here in my neck of the woods. Kinda feelin' them, especially since they've blended jazz flavors.
