I believe Buddy is right about Bruiser Brody saying that family is important. I remember his Dark Side of the Ring showed a lot of him trying to be dad. Also in the same episode , Tony Atlas said as he was riding in the ambulance with Brody ; Brody was clutching a photo of his family. I think Buddy might be also right about Brody having a premonition about his death. Based on what Buddy says , maybe in Brody's recent dealing's with Jose Gonzalez ; he read Gonzalez's eyes and body language and combined with Gonzalez's past (stiff matches with Brody and child loss) and current (Brody's ownership of Puerto Rico territory) issues ; Brody suspected he was a marked man.

i had read somewhere years ago that the mainland wrestlers that witnessed the murder did not receive their summons to appear in court to testify until after the trial had already been held. R.I.P. Red River Jack Mr Bruiser Brody. I Remember the first time i ever watched Bruiser Wrestle in the late 70's, it was on NWA Florida Championship Wrestling out of Tampa. The rebroadcast of their saturday afternoon show would air in South Georgia on late night tv like 11:30 pm or Midnight. Superstar Rocky Johnson was the Florida Champ and he defended Frank Goodish in a tv match. i could not get over how much bigger Bruiser was than Rocky. He tossed Rocky around like a rag doll and won the title. i was in shock that Rocky could be man handled like that by anyone. Bruiser is in my top 5 all time favorites.

Even if he wasn't on the card, but in Puerto Rico at the time, the same time especially, and he happened to bump into and spend time with Brody and hear about the events surrounding the murder and then he wrestled there again in the same venue he likely is looking back some 20-30 years trying to understand and explain his understanding of what happened to his friend.
