Definitely been a up and down winter. Has been cold in January. Really for what were used to. Not much snow this year. We just missed the one storm that u got. All ice. Crappy year for snowmobiling

When I was 15yo I had a sister and brother ages 3 and 1. We took a Pack and Play and mounted it to the fender on the JD 3020. When my Mom cut hay they went along for the ride. There will probably be those that will say it was the most dangerous thing in the world but with modification it worked out well. I bet your little partner is going to love the buddy seat. Buddies for life.

When I put one in our tractors I found that the front of the buddy seat cushion rubbed against the upholstery on the fender. Of course I had just put a new cab kit in so I drilled new holes for 3 of the bolts that hold the cushion on the buddy seat to squeeze the front of the cushion closer to the driver. I made the cushion flush with the steel base of the buddy seat, also made a handle with 5/16 rod bent and welded to a 1" wide flat steel and fastened to the steel strip by the window with 1/4" bolts just be careful drilling the holes there is a wire for the fender light. The kids feel more comfortable having something to hang on to and when they aren't with I even find myself grabbing it from time to time.

It’s been ridiculously windy in Michigan this winter as well. Last night the weather station on the farm recorded 67 mph 54 times. We don’t mind the cold and the snow but wind is no good. We hit almost 50 on Wednesday last week and it turned everything to a solid sheet of ice, been using bedding sand like mad sanding things to make it possible to even move. Ridiculously high winds just blow the damn sand away so it’s been really fun.

Hey . I mean a new seat for a jd 7810 cost 3500 Dollar !!! .it looks like your seat . / 8 years ago .i buy a used jd 7800 with 4250 hours out of Bavaria from a little grain and sugar beet farm . The farm must be a very strong an heavy man .so was the seat "tired" and hard used . I bought a new K.a.b seat from a great farm machine dealer for 700 Dollar. This seat has all functions as the original .it looks some smaller but it has long armrests from 27inches . I am happy with the new k.a.b seat because you "feel" the tractor better as when a " old water bed " is on it as a seat . Best greetings !!!

I’ve gotta question now down here in the south we don’t do a lot of silage so is silage just rotten corn that’s fermented I always wondered why northerners did the silage stuff !
@mikep7810
2 жыл бұрын
Its not rotten corn. Its corn thats harvested at a higher moisture and packed tight in either an upright silo, a bunk silo, or a silage bag and it ferments and makes good feed

We don't usually feed out of our bags until the late summer/early fall. We feed out of the silo and when its about empty we switch over to the bag while we clean out and do maintenance to the unloader then fill the silo back up. We fed out of it a little when we had some issues with our silo unloader
