Justin. Next time you need 4wd parts, call up Dave's 4x4 - Warsaw, Indiana. One of the last true 4x4 shops around here trying to keep it alive. He has a crazy collection and a nice parts yard of square body's and other goods.

Anyone else from the rust belt find it hilarious when they talk about rust and im just like what rust that looks brand new. Ive fought for an hour before on them wheel bearings with specific puller and heat. You just casually tapping it out with a tiny hammer. Must be so nice to work on stuff in the south

I knew when I saw 513s were going in that it was going to be a completely new monster. I was running 44s and went from 373s to 529s and man what a difference. But I also put a Detroit Locker in the rear and a Detroit truetrac Locker in the front. That truetrac locker worked great, it allows the front to give while turning, but then it locks when you get into the throttle.

It's a typical budget build though. You had a budget you built it within the budget had fun with it waited a little time and did another budget upgrade. Have more fun with it and then do another budget upgrade.

A couple decades ago, I installed 5:13 gears in a truck i built, and missed the mark on the rear backlash. Took about 500 miles to start growling, so I took it apart and found my issue. Called Randy’s (where I got my parts) explained to them what happened (my fault) and they gave me a huge discount on the replacement gear set…(with a few pointers lol) these guys are awesome!
