Only one road, Highway 925, connects the communities of Dillon, Michael Village and St George's Hill in Northern Saskatchewan to the outside world. This road is approximately 60km of severe rutting, washouts, dust, and safety hazards. The poor infrastructure negatively affects all families in the region, regardless of the season or weather.
For decades, unresolved issues involving housing, property damage, travel delays, and unexpected expenses for food, accommodation, and services have persisted, along with compromised emergency services such as access to ambulances.
We believe all Canadians should have safe, reliable access to essential services and economic opportunities. So, Paradox Access Solution and Stratum Logics are collaborating with the Buffalo River Dene Nation and the surrounding communities to design and rally funding support for a solution to these systemic issues. We have surveyed the area, done testing, and created several conceptual engineered designs. These designs aim to rebuild the road, balancing durability and cost, and bringing economic benefits to the community.
We want to invite you to understand the challenges faced by the communities.
