You're a smarty, I've seen people with 60 pound bug out bags, not realistic for fast movement on foot or for hard terrain movement.

I really love your video and I think a military foam sleep pad will get you a more comfortable sleep than just a wool blanket and a woobie alone. You have a great mindset on survival I see but you definitely need some critter gitter traps and maybe a fishing kit added but I totally agree on everything else.

Dude, I discovered your channel yesterday through your Urban survival video (which I think I’ve already watched three times… loved this too. You’re a fountain of knowledge and I like your gear recommendations. I use the Mora Garberg and Bacho folding saw in my setup too. Hoping for the same drinking systems as you also. Those Grayl bottles look ace! Keep the awesome content coming and thank you!

Nice thing about the uv-5r is there is a mode to pick up local FM stations. Many of them broadcast news and weather at the top of the hour.

8:31 ....Canterbury is a good product...the metal used in pathfinder canteen is the exact same as Klean Kanteen ... Brushed stainless steel 18 / 8 ~304 Food Grade ..these two brands are exactly the same diameter for Wide mouth {54 mm / 2" } The only difference is *Pathfinder bottle* is only 32 oz {4 cups } and your paying $100 canadian with a cup and lid. Total weight is under a lb. and for the *Klean Kanteen* 40 oz size {5 cups} ,without the cup and lid is a total of 73$. total weight is 0.6 lb {just over 1/2 lb} What is surprising is, Klean Kanteen is the Producer of Pathfinder Bottle in china.

Just stumbled across your channel. This was great content and had a few ideas that I’ll be implementing (especially the zipper in the woobie).
@hangtough503
Жыл бұрын
Gracias. The zipper radically changes the woobie potential. On sewing machine, I loosely pre cross stitch the zipper zone on the woobie before i split open. If not a lot of baffling flies out. I use 16 inch YKK zipper. D🤙

very similar to what I use myself...! I am left with the impression that there are too many "sofa coaches" out there, and that's dangerous for greenhorns! Gladly there is still wise people that give good advice and show how to put it into practice! Best luck...!

I believe that a full tang knife is better but you don't need to beat on the handle to baton wood and most moras are rat tail handle and the majority of military fighting knives are not full tang like k bar or pal ww2 knives are slim steel high carbon through the handle to the butt cap with leather stacked around them but I think they work great for survival as well just don't beat on the handle unnecessarily and they won't break on you.
