It's funny how people comment on super cars but never drove one. This motor pumps 1200 hp easy with no stress. Remember that this car is for rich people so unless you have money to buy one, your opinion doesn't matter to them, no matter if it's gtr or Ferrari, we also can't say how good or bad the product is before we even try it ;)

Late answer but think about it, its a 8L 16 piston engine, which would equal more or less a 4 L v8 which is in fact a medium small displacement engine so that means small parts.

I know people will have trouble understanding this but manufacturing in Germany made perfect sense. When Ferdinand Piëch VW took over Bugatti he wanted to make an everyday supercar one that was very reliable. Though Bugatti had built an AWD supercar with quad turbos before the EB110 Ferdinand was not happy with the overall performance. He also was not happy with the reliability of the car he wanted this car to go a 100,000 miles. They went around shopping for suppliers and had one requirement that the parts had to go to 100,000 miles. Most people slammed the door in VW's face even when they said price was no object. Ricardo stepped up and designed and built the 7 speed duel clutch gearbox and ran it for like 100,000 miles non stop to meet VW's insane requirement. The gearbox alone costs just over 250,000 dollars each. Basically VW was losing around a 1 million each selling the Veyron due to these intense requirements on vendors. Taking known and tested parts from Audi and VW made a lot of sense for reliability sake. You have a proven product that you have plenty of experienced people to build it. The Bugatti previously had a somewhat ragtag team of designers from Italy and France who had little interest in bullet proof designs. Final assemble of the Bugatti still happens in France with a number of long term employees of Bugatti. In the end Veyron set the benchmark 10 years ago with the Veyron. The problem with Bugatti in general is under new management from Porsche it could be interesting to see what will end up with the next generation.
@rsswga

what's the avg pay for assembly?
@KelvinSmoke
9 жыл бұрын
It would depend alot on what they require to assemble. I noticed that the pistons were numbered, but was the assembler the person that mated the piston to bore at tolerance and then set the ring gaps or do they just pull parts off shelves to an inventoried printout and other people are doing all the measurements? The level of checks and balances, computer tracking, task specialization, and production quantity make positions requirements go all over the place. add in education levels/requirements and the pay could vary to that of a avg paid laborer to a doctor.
