This rig is absolutely SICK! Found your videos while researching MaxJax. Curious... What is the red ring on the transfer case? Is it a support or something? I ask because I am running an NP231 from a Jeep in my KIA Sorento with a 6.0L LSx swap... Anything to help beef up the case. I already broke one np231 clean in half doing a burnout... However, it was because I tossed a ujoint cap and it threw the shaft off balance. Like the Magnaflow. I have a Magnaflow X-Series on my swap because it's dual in dual out. Back when I had my Grand Cherokee though I put a Thrush muffler on it, was pretty deep, people thought it was a V8 not the L6 that was in it. 🤷♂️

Thanks, the red ring is part of a slip yoke eliminator kit. It holds the new shaft seal and replaces the long housing that is normally there for the slip yoke.

@@HeBeGB501 thanks for letting me know. You think getting rid of the slip yoke is a good idea on a vehicle that is NOT going to be off-roaded? I won't be taking the KIA Sorento off road BUT it will be launched on the street. Not sure if that will cause any issues that the slip yoke eliminator would help. If I remember it was just a benefit for off-roading

@@TheGibsOfTheTube you would probably want to stick with the slip yoke drive shaft.

This is with no cat. Since this is a “homemade” vehicle, there were no requirements to install one in my area.

Did you upgrqde the 2.25 pipe for 2.5 before the muffler swap?
@HeBeGB501

It is all 2.5” from the exhaust manifold to the tail pipe.

What all work did you have done to make it sound like that with the super 44?
@HeBeGB501
Жыл бұрын
The engine is stock. The only other exhaust work is custom 2.5” piping from the manifold back. I doubt this changes the sound much but the exhaust also wraps around the front of the oil pan instead of behind it. That was done for clearance.
