We always want to use either pressure treated wood, cedar, or some other wood that is resistant to the rain, snow and sun when being placed outdoors. Since mine is on an exterior wall, uncovered, I used pressure treated wood and stained the entire piece. This color is Special Walnut, not English Chestnut. I actually stained it the wrong color and had to sand it off and re-stain. Don't kill me, but felt like the video was already too long.
