DIY project of building my own automatic watch using parts I got from eBay and AliExpress.
This video shows the assembly process of the new watch. I’ve found this pre-owned watch on eBay, with a real Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement. It is small with external diameter of 36mm. Thickness is 10.4mm, strap size is 18mm. The head weight is 41 grams. After I got it I opened it to measure the dial to be 28.6mm, and the case can accept dials up to 29mm.
I’ve made a dial from an old 100 Israel Shekel coin from the 80's, but I ended up not using it, as it was too thick for the build.
The dial is matte red, 29mm with a pig at 9 o'clock, from AliExpress.
The hands are Seiko Turtle style with a black outline, also from AliExpress.
