Very nice, I like a heavy workbench that doesn't move around while you're using it.

Right! I can move it with effort but can also push against it when building and it is sturdy and stable

Why? You can make a honeycomb top just as strong without all the idiot weight. Or why not go completely insane like you want and use lvls so it weight a metric ton.

@@Orestopheles it's not like I need to move it around, and if I did, I'd just put locking wheels on it. But I can't stand a worktable that wobbles when I use it.

Random point: I watch a lot of woodworking videos and it’s rare that a girl pops up, but when they do, they make it their looks more than the woodworking/ construction. Thank you for being a decent human

It's made from maybe $100 worth of 2x4s. That's not expensive for a workbench. Very sturdy and budget-friendly build.

If it were me, I'd take a track saw (or any saw with a guide jig) and square up the edges. But that's just me, it's a workbench and it's perfectly functional without doing that. Great job!

@@johnpalmer3848you want a workbench to not rack, absorb vibrations, and to not scoot around on the floor while you are doing something like saw boards. Heavy is good in workbenches. You can fake heavy by adding bags of sand to the base. Sturdy is something else. I'm thinking the mortises for the legs and the pocket screws might need tightening over time.
