I had that Revel model too. When I was 12 yo I gave demonstrations to my mother’s 2nd grade class on how the Gemini docked with the Agena (a cardboard paper towel tube) and the how the capsule separated from the unit and recentered the earth’s atmosphere using a propane torch. Yes, she allowed me but didn’t the the front office. 😊

One of the other comments had reminded me that in the 1970s as a space-mad child, I built a whole Saturn V out of Lego - all the stages, with a LEM in a third stage hanger. Got all the details spot on - if you overlooked the fact it was square in cross section, not round! 😂

Wow that is getting big! Shame thkat the fit on a few of the parts isn't better. I suppose they could be made to fit/close up better with a little bit of work. But it really is going to be wonderful once it is fully built!

The white panels are radiators designed to radiate excess heat from the space stations equipment into space. Without those the interior of the space station would get hot enough to cook the crew inside.

Not too sure about all the gaps in the parts, i'd have the dremel out and dry fit all parts to fit exactly before screwing into place. Your thoughts Wayne??

They need to do an update and add the Boeing Starliner as it looks like that may end up being a permanent part of the station. Nice looking build, no longer listed as available in the US. Not sure why they do some of these and then stop production so soon.

They probably will re lease it later on. They are seeming to do about 6 month separate subs to break up the whole list to give them a chance to rotate the partworks through the factory and deal with shipping issues

Noticed another error that the designers of this model made: the external experiments airlock, that cylinder protuding from the Prichal module (that sphere on the bottom of the new vertical module): that and the unfolded radiator there are the same components you see stored on the side of the Rassvet module (the smaller vertical module near the western section of the ISS) and were moved away from there and installed after 2021 when those two new modules were delivered.

2030 according on what I have read, but not all of that will be lost: the western part (or at least a significant part of it) will become the base for a new private station built by Axiom space.

I think this PW has the worse fitting parts so far. I believe they were really sloppy in hiding seams. I would never do it for that reason. This is not worth the $1500+ by any stretch .There are gaps big enough for a PH00 screwdriver
