What was/were the dimensions of the lumber you used for the frame? Were they 1x2s? Did the batting stick out? Does the fabric help to compress it to be more flush with the frame?

They were 1x2 boards which allows the batting to sit near perfectly flush with the boards. The fabric can help the batting sit flush in the front but the fabric is pretty thin and thus has some stretch so I didn't rely on the fabric completely to hold it in place so you'll also want to add a support bar in the back to help it from falling out of the back. With the batts I got, they're actually somewhat rigid so as long as they fit snug in the frame then the frame will do most of the work. You can see around the 8:00 mark the type of bracket I used on my crossbars. This bracket was chosen specifically so that when I get the batt in place, I can every so slightly squeeze the side of the frame in then tighten it down to help hold the batt in place. Making it too tight though will make the batt bow.

Nice explain bro, this info is useful for me because I'm trying to reduce the noise of my mining rigs to not bother my neighbors

What do you think... Will you build your own panels or buy them pre-assembled? And what material will you use for absorption?

I'm from Argentina so I'll do it myself with the cheapest fabrics I could find haha
