Little advice about those freeman tests. Cross contamination is easily done. You need multiple sets of scissors use alcohol or something between cuts. If you get plant liquids transfered the results will be inconclusive. I use them regularly with that said, I think they are great.

Pvc can bind up a bit when pushed into fittings. If you put a chamfer on the cut ends theyll come apart easier. File, sand paper, deburring tool if you have one, even a good scratch with a knife at a 90° angle will help

Glad to hear you’re trying the autos on different light schedules. I won’t pretend to understand the biology but I never get as good results with autos on 12-12, even if the DLI is the same as an 18-6 schedule. They just seem to get stressed from the high intensity. Edit: also glad you mentioned the smash card. I didn’t know that was an option. I’ve always been tentative to use farmer freeman because I don’t want to send actual plant matter through the mail.

Canuk seeds are alright but if you want great genetics check out Dr. Greenthumb. He is based out of Ontario( I believe) and is a trusted breeder. Also Jordan of the islands is another amazing breeder. Companies like Canuk & ilgm are entry level IMO. Nothing wrong with them and I'm not saying they're crap, but there are way better genetics out there. This is just my opinion tho. Happy growing.

@richardgarcia3772

Trim any leafs that are 70% damaged so the plant doesn't waste energy trying to fix it
@comfortablynumb9342

Some people say that damaged leaves attract bugs and disease so taking them off is better. I know the Future Cannibis Project had a guest who said yellow attracts spider mites and other pests. He knows all about bug's life cycles and biology so I tend to believe him. His channel is called Zenthenol or something like that.

Hi, I recently saw some people raising concern over heavy metal content of many dry ammendments on the market. What is buildasoil doing to address this issue? I'm not accusing anyone of anything. Just a curious customer and a person who cares about what I consume.
@olivergrows
2 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he has mentioned that Buildasoil tests all of the materials they use for heavy metals etc. I believe you can ask them for the sheets on any of their products if you want to get to that level of detail, I thought they had them attached on the site someplace but I didn't see them on a quick look. Either way BAS is looking out for these kind of issues and will not use anything not up to their standards. Definitely contact them if you have any specific concerns but in general you can rest easy with anything that comes in BAS packaging.

Hey Jeremy. I remember the old GrassCity days with that thread by Pakalolo and Coot and I think BlueMountain. It's what got me into organics. I don't really expect an answer, but I'll take a shot in the dark: Do you know if the TOBC2 seeds from Mountain Organics are actually the offspring of TO from Coot? I would love to get my hands on some of the genetics but it's super hard when it's a lot of who you know. Thanks for any answer. Keep up the videos, super fun to have on while I'm working.

It's commonly recommended to raise the pots up off the tent floor if you live in a colder region to keep the rootzone happy. Any recommendations for raising these beds up or do you find it less of an issue with the greater soil volume? I live on the east coast so it's chilly 75% of the year here.

I love the grassroots living soil bags - they are gold. I’ve really wanted to get a bed since I started but one thing that held me back was air. Air is important. In my 3x3, I’m using a 65gal (33 inch diameter) instead of a 3x3 bed. Plenty of room in the corners of the tent for fresh air especially when the negative pressure inside squeezes the tent around the bag. This is just an issue for nano-grows like mine :) Thanks for pointing out the sex-testing. $10/plant is worth it in some cases. Glad it’s available. What about taking clones off of seedlings and putting them under 12hrs of darkness or more? Any special considerations with this? I’ve heard the seedlings need to be a month old before…I’m a bit confused about this technique.

Is it possible the seedling fail was due, in part, to the “BB” inoculation? Could BB require a specific environment in order to be effective? Can BB microbes out compete the other ”endo” microbes present in plant tissue? Or Vice versa creating an unhealthy balance? 🙏🔑✌️
