LOL... ha Love it. Truthfully - from everything I gather - it looks like this year is gonna be a big one for UA. Luna is the future. I've already seen A-list producers using it. I wouldn't write it off. Cheers!

Melodyne definitely for tuning. ReVoice Pro for tightening vocal harmonies and creating double tracks. Using Luna for quantizing audio such as bass guitar lines. Finished mixing a song in LUNA but still writing and tracking in Cubase Pro. I really like LUNA for mixing. Thats my two cents worth.

Totally mate! I think it’s far superior for mixing than any other daw. Even for tracking. I like the general workflow. As well as for time based editing. But you hit the nail on the head with melodyne and revoice. Great share, thanks mate!

Hi, your comping process is harder than it needs to be in Luna, you have a button at the top of your tracks, to the right of the titel "Tracks", press that and you´ll expand the versions, create a new version, name it Comp and copy the best phrase to that new version!

Yeah, I ended up realizing this after it was already recorded. Needed to be recorded that way for sure. I’ll definitely not forget this ha Thanks for your comment Mattias, cheers!

Wow Steve you make it look easy lol, your truly talented at this. Love your approach and your methods are umm....sound😆. Sorry couldn't resist. One thing could you show precisely how & what button you hit to get a desired effect. ie; I cut and dupe this section plz show what you hit and where you go to get that effect. Not limited to cut & dupe for us guys who don't know the location of anything. just a glimpse where we can find it would be such a huge time saver for us meer mortals.

I'm with you on Luna. It's just a matter of time. I have a hybrid workflow with Ableton Beta 11 which ironically has a killer comping feature. Thx for the time on these videos. Following all of it closely !

Steve the presets for Vocals . The Heritage Classics . Will I be able to use those with the UA SOLO Thunderbolt . Doesn't seem like I can do much with the DSP resources you get with it . I wish I got a Twin . Kinda of a let down . They got all these plug ins I would love to purchase after trying the demo but a lot of those use crazy DSP . Not even an option. Do your presets stick to the plugins that come with the solo or are you using a twin or a bunch of plugins you purchased ? I want to support the channel either way. Let me know buddy. Thanks

Hey bill! All good. So. The “desktop” heritage pack was created with an Apollo solo. So all the chains should work. That said - the chains were developed from the mindset of tracking. So if you have a big session, with a lot of 1176’s and la2a’s running in logic .. that eats up some resources and will need to be managed for the solo. So you can “freeze” your tracks. Or commit to wav on the front side. Hopefully that clarifies it. 😎 My advice. Use the unison pres to track with. Don’t drop them into your mix unless there is something specific to do so. For example. When I mic my acoustic with the neve 1084 in my unison slot - I commit that sound on the way in. Rather than having no plugin in my unison slot. Recording and then dropping the 1084 in logic. It just eats up resources that don’t need to be there. Plus - you lose the benefit of unison at that point. Long story short. If it’s a mic pre plugin, and you open one of my mixes - you’ll literally almost never see a mic pre plugin floating in the session. It’s almost always just fx, comps, eq’s, and when combined with Luna - summing and tape etc All pres were committed. Cheers mate!
