A little borax for flux and I bet that silver solder will flow real nice and try hitting the backside of the steel instead of putting the heat into the solder. The borax also helps to show when the parts are the right temperature wet the parts with some water so the borax sticks

Some friendly advice... loose the gloves when using a bench grinder, especially the wire wheel side. You'll skin you fingers without them if you go too far, but you'll lose a finger and break bones if that glove gets into the wheels. Stay safe man! Keep the vids coming!

The krylon 2000 degree paint will stay on and not burn off brotha heat the pipe with a heat gun a little before you paint it then when it sets put it on the say and run it for about 3 min on idol and that paint is on it I have had one painted for over a year it fades but it does not burn off or turn brown

That large die grinder is the way to do for making those large holes. Its so much safer and quicker because the shaft is so much heavier you don't have to worry about helicoptering the bits, I've destroyed a few of the smaller bits in heavy steel like that.

Flux is your friend. Cleans the metal and shields the joint from oxidation. Use Silver Braze 56%, easy peasy.

Thanks for that! I can get some Flux easily enough, but this roll was EXPENSIVE. Like $50. Do you think I would need the Silver brazing rod, or will the stuff I got work with a lower temp and flux?

Why not just use an oval drill bit? That would solve it all! For real though you can use a transfer punch and it will help centering your hole. Now that I have told you how to do everything how much would you charge to make me 2 of these hammerhead for my 620p, it will be the same as the 590. Thanks for great videos!!! Keep up great work.

Pretty simple pipe to make! And can't argue actual dyno proof that it works👍🏻 On a rectangular port flange, I usually weld the sides inside and clean up with a dremel or die grinder.

@@aaronpowell4885 I've got 2 Timberwolves, one with a Ironhorse muffler and another made by Iowa Performance Saw's that has baffle removed with a pipe coming out and the deflector hole modified. Just curious how this type of muffler works differently than what I have on mine.
@aaronpowell4885
Жыл бұрын
@@dentondunn4346 nice! In my mind, it works on the same theory/principles as the Ironhorse pipes just a slight bit easier for most to build being square tubing. When I referred to a typical muffler mod, I wasn't referring to a complete baffle delete. As a 590/620 muffler is not as easy to get into as most! More just the usual deflector mod or extra outlet.
