I like watching Helicopters. I would love to get one, I have a Harley & T-Bucket I'm ready for a helicycle to get in the air. Wished they had some Helicopters around here in Hershey PA. to look at. Thanks for the video looks like fun to build.

As an (ex) commercial helo pilot I find this video scary! build your own helicopter??!! No thanks! But its a great looking ship, I would love one I think.

you guys are both wrong. the helicycle is classified as an experimental aircraft and requires a pilot's lic and medical cert to fly legally. the only helicopter that will meet the 254lb weight restriction to be classified as an ultralight is the mosquito. part 103, no lic, aircraft must weigh less than 254lbs ad carry no more than 5 gals of fuel.

Very good work. Pilot learned to fly himself or went to a special school or do it in the pilot profession? Building a helicopter, learn to fly possession it is very difficult and how long does it take? Thank you for your response.

Legality depends on the class of airspace your "friend" lives under... It's FAA certified as an experimental I believe so it has all the airworthiness needed for flight.
