I’m a retired GC and thought I knew everything when I earned my certification and license, so I opened up my own construction company. 2 years later, I decided I needed to learn a lot more, so I closed my business and got a job with a friend of mine who is a Site Work and Underground Utilities Contractor. I learned a lot in 3 years of working with him and finally opened my business back up. After that, I could always step in and get things done in a pinch when my site work contractor was short handed and running behind. He was the best I ever saw in your field until I started watching your videos. You have a God given skill and talent very few can come close to approximating. I really enjoy watching your videos. Congratulations on your KZitem success. I used to tell people that I could teach a gorilla to do my job, but it would take a lot more to teach him how to operate heavy equipment skillfully. You are living proof that trades are essential for our society. Thank you, I’m hooked and will keep on watching.

The boulders being placed under the flume are to prevent erosion from the currents and eddy's from the force of water. When they built the Hoover Dam, water from the spillways ate through reinforced concrete and created enormous damage through erosion. When my Dad worked on the building of the Haweswater dam, these lesson were taken onboard. They set huge dragons teeth in the spillway, to break up the flow of the water.
