Finally got a new hot air station and the new PCBs which means it's finally time to finish this!
So it's not a huge surprise that it works because I'm not the first to assemble one of these new boards. Nonetheless, it's always nice to have a bigger sample size though.

Do note that using MBC3 carts are significantly cheaper (so Gold or Silver rather than Crystal) but the MBC30 in JP Pokemon Crystal is the only chip that seems to support 4MB flash AND RTC. This is currently not very useful since ZERO games support both but word on the street is that some new ROM hacks will be expanding to 4MB and will require one of these carts to be played on hardware. There is no timeline on this and it's not concrete though.
