I've printed a half dozen of these and built 3 of them. I simply used a GBFans soundboard and wired my own static LEDs into that and it works just fine thanks to the RGB packs having FAR less sophisticated lighting than the movie packs. I also used translucent blue TPU for the thrower tip so no one gets stabbed accidentally by hard plastic AND it glows when I activate the stream effects while looking pretty solid when everything is off.

I was trying to get a Ghostbusters proton pack 2 years ago but the one I bought from a Halloween store was broken when I bought it I'm just trying to get a decent Ghostbusters costume so I could go out with my little nephew this year or next year I'll pay for it I just need to know how much it'll cost to have one I don't care if it's got lights or sound as long as it looks like the real Ghostbusters pack I don't care

When I was a child I had a proton pack. Oh yeah, it was top of the line. Had a yellow styrofoam proton beam. Nothing but the best. It was pretty, pretty awesome.

WOW! That printer puts out some nice pieces. Even the "reject" pieces look really good. I've always want to build my own pack, but in al honesty I'm not that much of a handy man (I know what to look for etc., but I'm just not great at building, and a 3d printer simply is not within my budget). So I love my Haslab pack, spirit pack, and the pack I won in a raffle at a comic con a few years back. I have a lot of respect for folks who are good at that sort of thing (and envy). So seeing how nice the pieces that came off that 3d printer are... Well, 6 year old me would have (and is) went crazy over it. Keep posting the build videos. I cant wait to see how the rest of this pack turns out.

Is it me or does the RGB looks better and makes more sense in practicality? Love it love it. If I would do it, I would make it more realistic one and the cartoon colour one.

Oh for a second I thought it was going to be a REAL proton pack! I had this idea when i was a kid to disassemble and old CRT TV set, rip out the electron gun and retrofit it inside the proton blaster. Maybe use some sort of mirroring system to focus the electron beam into a clear focused stream of electrons. I was unsuccessful.

What bugs me about RGB pack is the color. Early days the cartoon started with black colors. Then middle of its run it was dark blue. Then late in the series it was blue. Synonymous with the toys colors. I hated that. To me its either black or dark blue. Anything brighter is just wrong to me.
