Get a look behind the scenes of what it takes to machine and assemble a 1903 Wright Flyer Engine. Hay Manufacturing of Delavan, Wisconsin was commissioned by the Wright Experience to produce three running engines and a cutaway in preparation for the 2003 Centennial Flight at Kitty Hawk. These were not the first Wright Flyer engines the company had built. A previously built replica was run for many years at the Oshkosh Air Show Antique Engine Tent and the engine on the Wright Flyer in the EAA Museum was built by them as well.
