Nice work man. Shame about that breaker. We have 230v here in Aus to all outlets so don't really have heaps of problems like that. Bigger welders need a 15A plug though (regular plugs are 10A) Those dropouts would drive me bananas!

Well you definitely have the electrical system I need to get in my garage. Thank you! It's definitely a work in progress. I do a little bit everyday and keep trying... question?! Over there, why is the steel tubing painted blue when you get it from the steel yard ?

@@MidnightCustoms-C20 good question, I didn't actually know but presumed it was for protection against corrosion. Just looked it up and that does appear to be the reason. Does mean it's a pain in the arse to prep but you gotta do it anyway this just takes a bit longer I suppose!

@andrewford80 right on, thanks for getting back to me on that, I'd been wondering for awhile why it was blue lol... yeah in the states the hot rolled steel has mill scale and it can be a chore to grind off. The cold rolled steel doesn't have the scale and requires little to no prep work.

Do you have a dryer outlet, I assume this is your garage, run that puppy on 220, you will save electricity and get a nice burn in, No Judgement on your welds, looks great!

Use your regular square to get in between your tacks. Also, you can use a 1/2” x 1/2” x 6”-10” square stock or something comparable and you can use it between your wide square and whatever you can’t reach because of the tacks.

That's a great tip! Thank you for the advice and I will definitely try that out on future projects.
