Funny to hear goose gear talk about affordability when they’re the premium brand on the market 😂

He probably miss spoke when he said affordable. Most likely ment pricing it in a way that would make since to manufacture and sell, and will be in a pricing bracket that's suitable for a market. Doesn't mean it's affordable

Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. I love a 60% delete. I built a system out of wood for the back of my 4Runner, and originally it was a full flat system that covered both the folded down back seats, but then I realized I almost never need that much flat space so in a subsequent version I just covered the 60 portion.

Great built! The new Sequoia is much better looking than the gen 2, but Toyota really dropped the ball on the 3rd row/ cargo area. I understand the issue with the battery, but it's a dealbreaker for those of us with multiple kids. Hopefully Toyota does a better job with the coming US market Land Cruiser.

And that battery pack don't add much to the powertrain, what a waste of hybrid system.

IMO, it was a failure of Toyota not making the new Sequoia's seats fold flat like the previous generation. I realize the battery is in the way, however, Toyota engineers should have come up with a meaningful solution to this problem. We fold the seats in our 2nd Gen Sequoia all the time. Not sure I could live without that option on a daily basis. The 3rd Gen Sequoia has lost some of its versatility as a result of this. Toyota also should have incorporated more high strength 4943 aluminum in the construction, to include the chassis. At least they brought back the solid rear axle!!

Why does such a large SUV feel so unsatisfying in providing real usable space?
@guentherwilke2055
Жыл бұрын
I think the real problem is the clumsy battery location. I don't think there was time/money to take the Tundra battery and massage it to fit into the SUV body better, like above the spare or into the side panels. Hopefully a mid-cycle refresh will improve this.
@gwgammell

@@guentherwilke2055it took them 15 years to update the sequoia. I wouldn’t hold my breath for a mod to the battery.
