I like the shape of the body. It looks small enough it shouldn't be too uncomfortable to play. You know some shapes just get up under your rib cage n all. As for the binding I put some scratches on my 2021 GGBO build binding and they sand right out and the binding can actually polish up nicely with higher grits of dry paper. Just use a super light touch. Kinda bummed we didn't see that red before the end but Its a nice thing to look forward to for the next video. Once again you are da man doing another charity build. I hope it does better then the first one and that taxes and fees to do a legal raffle don't suck the life out of the proceeds.

I use Elmer's wood glue, shit works a treat! I find it hard with the spindle sander to get smooth edges. Guitar is going good, looking forward to seeing the neck!

nicely coming along. we all need bigger and better tools, but like yourself I get away with a small bench top bandsaw. I even bought a 12inch, but find for a few builds a year wasn't worth it so sold it again. I do like my jointer though, I'm hopeless with a plane..can't get anything square. I like the shape of the body and am eagerly awaiting to see the finish. keep up the great charity work..voice over is cool.

I would love to get a jointer at some point. Just isn't in the financial cards at the moment, so I'll just struggle away with my handplane lol.

@@ravencroftguitars I find the jointer, though hardly used, is more critical than the bandsaw. Keep up the good work!

Spray enamel over bare wood is not a good way to finish wood. You may need to do a lot more work here.

It's the same way that I finished my GGBO build, and turned out well. It is a primer and paint, so it is specifically made to go right onto bare wood. I'll also be applying a clear coat overtop and buffing.
