No disrespect but you could of put all the drums on one track then sampled it. It's faster and it will be one kit. I use to do that method with the 2000xl and the op-1.

Every track in Ableton had different effect chain so i can sample the sounds the way i want :) cut some low's from the snare drums .....some mid's from the hats...etc. ...........

Horses for courses bro, tracking out separately gives you full control over each part of the drum, your way isn't the only way, no disrespect.

I noticed the kick in the mpc was thumpier but in the final result, it was more tight. Did you fix the the whole drum loop in Ableton before mastering it or did you keep working on the kick in the mpc itself?

I had it when it came out. It was amazing. Ableton with the push is alot easier to work with. I just bought the force which is really badass for standalone

Yep! 2000 was the first and last post-Roger Linn redesigned MPC. 2000xl was more so a MK II or some ish that I never liked (that bs tilt screen, bottons and knobs moved the right side, data wheel without the digit wheel, etc). 4000 on up were "Music Production Centers"
@UNDERDOGMMA

Tilt screen is way better, especially on the 2500. If you are standing it can be flat and if you are sitting you can literally see the screen from your chair. It’s a feature not a bug
