tv speakers as very good quality as a stereo, some of them even can some of bass. Its one of the best sounding speaker i heard on yt

KoryDaSavage maybe passive radiators or just pick a bass boosted song lol. Anyway those tv speakers probably wouldn’t be that great because they cant move a lot of air and dont have that much excursion.

I made this exact one but I go ahead and got an amp that fits in a bottle (also known as bottle speaker) and used it as the amp, and it sounds awesome and it flexes the foam too!

Not bad, not bad at all. Only thing I would say is to use wood instead of foam; foam is very weak and will break easily. Also use batteries or cells that have been capacity tested: you don't know what the health of a random laptop battery will be like (and if the laptop still works, you should keep it usable).

you should use wood instead of foam, you should also add a passive radiator or a woofer, and you should also use better 18650s (ones that are tested good, instead of random ones from laptops). Old laptop 18650s can be 500mAh - 1000mAh at best.

This project shows the big issue DIY hobbyists face - wood tools. I have all the speakers, electronics connector but missing good box to enclose them. I have plywood planks but not good tools to cut them for the speaker box.

The speaker drivers look old. Would recommend newer speakers of a similar size for this project if you are planning to do this on your own. Like the Dayton audio CE70-40P-8 driver.

A quick tip to beginners: use a power bank instead of scraping a laptop battery if you do not want to mess up or lit up anything. Your boards can be made by cheap Chinese brands, but not chargers or batteries.

I have a subwoofer and a pair of speakers left over from my broken laptop. Can you make a project that I can use these parts. Of course I also want to use the subwoofer. I want to make a nice device that will run the tiny subwoofer as well as a couple of tiny speakers.

Hi, I have a very similar project with speakers from an old tv. How do you know if the battery is fully charged (or whether you need to charge it)? I also have battery protection circuit on it, but can the bt module beep/say something according to the battery voltage?

@@Segatari I don't know just yet, but I'm planning on ordering a CSR 8645 or some other CSR bluetooth module, which is programmable, maybe there's a function for it. If not, there are LED battery indicators for about a dollar or so on Aliexpress. (However, it would be nice not having to cut a hole just for this indicator)
