He has the tools and loves to teach himself the skills required. It amazes me waht he can do sometimes. he even cleans the toilets and washes up once in a while!

Those look fantastic! I love that James would break your tools rather than his own. Very thoughtful of him! 😄 That really made me smile! Great sense of humour on that young man. Perhaps you can feed the birds a different food that would match your stain better!😋 It will be nice to have a functional space. You have a great family. Never take that for granted.

I am looking forward to using it for the first time today as temps are getting above 10C. The bottom of the garden can be so much darker and the birds too noisy. So this should make a nice change.

It is incredible - we built two sets of benches 2 years ago at the front area and the wood cost at least 30% less. I was able to use thicker timbers for the tops...but definitely not this year.

I also collect rocks, not sure exactly why but when we hit the hills here in Colorado, USA we always look for something. Now I'll be looking out for a root over rock piece..Nice addition. I like what you did there..

Thanks - there is definitely something quite relaxing about rock hunting. When I go on my retreat to Stronsay I spend loads of time just walking the seashore staring at rocks. But I am easy to entertain :)

@@XaviersBonsaiRetreat Sounds like an interesting place. Here in Colorado the natural resources are plenty but so is the elevation. One must be careful at how far you walk because you have to walk back! I'll be doing a video of a place I like to visit very soon!

No, he does wire jewellery as well - all self taught. He is actually training as a chartered accountant right now. Totally different world!

He now does roofing, cupboard building and he is incredible at making jewellery too. I will include a little picture of his 'tree of life' pendants in my next video.

Sam my kids would bite your arm off to get to Aus. My elodest lexi has been twice and nearly got hitched a few years back (Queensland). Unfortunately the drongo had more interest in 'bullying' than romance!
