Climate resilience hubs are being developed in Detroit by the Resilient Eastside Initiative, a collaborative effort between Elevate, the Eastside Community Network (ECN), and the City of Detroit. The Resilient Eastside Initiative is a network of solar plus storage-powered climate resilience hubs that support residents and the community with essential services during emergencies, recovery, and every day. These hubs are also being used for training of local BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) contractors as part of Elevate's Detroit Clean Energy Contractor Accelerator funded by the GM Climate Equity Fund. And a special thank you to our partners at Ryter Cooperative Industries.
The network of climate resilience hubs includes the City of Detroit’s Lenox Community Center, The Brilliant Detroit Chandler Park House, and the Eastside Community Network Stoudamire Wellness Center. The Resilient Eastside Initiative is continuing to work in Detroit to identify and establish a second round of hubs on the Eastside and across Detroit.

About Elevate:
Elevate is a national nonprofit headquartered in Chicago. We design and implement programs that reduce costs, protect people and the environment, and ensure the benefits of clean and efficient energy use reach those who need them most.
Elevate seeks to create a world in which everyone has clean and affordable heat, power, and water in their homes and communities - no matter who they are or where they live. Making the benefits and services of the clean energy economy accessible to everyone is how we fight climate change while supporting equity.
