Bill, when you are Plazma cutting holes in that heavy metal, it is easier on the tip to drill a 3/16" hole to start cutting so the torch don't have to perce a hole to start the cut. Saves on tips and don't shoot sparks and fire all over your shop. Just my 2 cents :-)

you need the wheel attachment on your plasma cutter ,they work excellent when cutting ,keeps the tip at the right distance from the metal ,and saves on your consumables

mount the plates flush to the back and then cut the sharp tip off. You need a flat spot in the front for the gussets anyways. I would also cut a plat in the front to box it all in you will gain some more strength.

You should definitely sell this welder and get a bigger one. Maybe not as big as the one pug got but a 212 would be great.

Hi Bill, Bill, Bill, Bill, please get yourself a face mask net time you go to either of the two shops you frequent for most things. Covering your mouth will not do anything effective other than stopping the flash on your face My granddad was underground cutting coal and had a lung disease after breathing in the coal. Another granddad died with a lung disease in the asbestos industry, so please, as you do so much cutting and other similar work please get a good face mask

Reviewing your video once again and as I get closer to building one for my B2650/BH77 I have a question or two. The shank end you welded into the wedge, where did you get that product. Could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction? earlp@ptd.net
