Great rig! I will one day have a Samurai for my hunt rig too. I like it for all the same reasons you’ve mentioned. It”s a great alternative to today’s modern UTV’s that cost 2~3 times as much and don’t have the same kind of character. It has plenty of room to put game in the back. I plan on taking out the back seat and rhino coating the entire floor. I’m looking forward to your series on the Samurai!

I have a lot of samurai content on my channel, I love mine it’s heavily modified and will literally go anywhere I point it. Nice little rig you got there.

@@TheLifeOutdoorz we have been swapping the 1.6L 16V engine out of a Suzuki Sidekick into them and it’s a huge power upgrade. I can easily maintain highway speeds in mine. Next swap we are doing is the 2.0L out of a gen 2 tracker

“Baby” Super Swampers tires on 8” rims has been the most traction and puncture resistant for me as well as lasting on the highway. Watch Zuks Off Road videos and talk to My as he is probably the most experienced Samurai shop in the USA.

I put a roll cage inside mine to hold up the roof. Now I can drop the windscreen down and shoot over the bonnet. It is road registered and has a removable A frame so that I can flat tow it to where ever I am hunting. It has a red led light bar and a spotlight mount in the roof. I run a thermal spotter on that, which can be viewed on an ipad inside the cabin.

Has your transfer case got stuck between 4 Hi side shifting to 4 Low. Yet? Every time I go from 4h to 4L I got to take top cover off transfer case & with a long tool shift it back to 4H. Until I do that Sami won’t move anywhere. Mine so hi geared in 4hi it powers out going up steep stuff or gravel bars. Mine goes just as well in 2hi. There wheelbase is awesome for hunting ride. Nice Sami, there getting hard to find in good shape now days.

Man, I have never had a problem with my transfer case. Sounds like it's time to get in there and see what's worn. They are cheap to fix.

I would put a basket rack on the roof to haul extra gear, that's about it. Nice rig.

No disrespect, but the Suzuki has: -no room -no power -no comfort I would encourage you to 99 to 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the V8. Old man Emu 3" lift. The grand is cheap to buy and lots of aftermarket parts and very off-road savvy.

I've gone the whole Jeep route, they were fun, just expensive to run and aren't nearly as reliable as the little Sammi

@@TheLifeOutdoorz to each his own I've had mine for years with very little maintenance. A lot sportsmen are also going to tow some type of trailer which the V8 4.7 pulls very well. Keep up the good work
