this might be your most informative video yet...this shows me all these details and you did them like a craftsman , I think you do the same thing with the shot put technique, and thats why you are the WR holder, while others go past them. RESPECT !

Hopefully your channel is going to blow up and sponsors are gonna come with it, that would be an ideal way to get money because being an athlete in a niche ish sport is not profitable.

Thank you! That is part of the goal, really hoping to pave the way for other post collegiate athletes as well so they can have a way to support themselves while training.

Six sheets of plywood plus a toe board would be very expensive, maybe 1,000 bucks or so? The older ring looks pretty bulky, seems quite wearing just dragging it to the training places, at least for a normal guy except you haha
@RyanCrouser23

Plywood is crazy expensive right now, I was lucky enough to already have the toeboard, but they are expensive as well. I think the lowest you could do this build for would be $550
@cortneym.9992

550 is way easier of a hit than the 3-5k the premade rings are going for.

You should do a video on what are the best shot puts to get and where to find them. I am a high schooler and I am looking to defend my state title but during my first title my shot got disqualified because of dents. So I had to through someone else's shot and beat my PR by 3 feet to win the title! Amazing day! But I need a new shot out for this upcoming outdoor season for high school. Just wondering what the best resource for that would be!

Is there any benefit to painting inside of the ring? I always seem to see them painted but don’t see the point.
@RyanCrouser23
2 жыл бұрын
It really depends, some painted rings can feel really good, but some are really bad. Lots of variables in wood grain/texture and type of paint (some oil paints feel greasy on rubber throwing shoes) so it’s more consistent with unpainted wood.
