Robin, I think you would like to see Norway's first "skyscraper" wooden construction. It is around 80 meters tall, with bearing construction being wood with steel fastening brackets. It finished this year, and supposedly is the tallest building of it's kind. Look up "mjøstårnet".

You could apply for a work Visa, I know they need good labour and the pay rate is really high well over £35/hr for a decent chippie!, but the cost of living is super expensive too!

Hey @Robin Clevett I love the videos! I am in my 3rd year of a carpentry apprenticeship in New Zealand, I'm loving it so far! I am still learning and trying to work out the best way of doing particular processes by watching videos online through channels like skill build, finish carpentry tv, and essential craftsman, as well as my on site foreman (of course). The issue I have been finding is that companies apply ridiculous time frames for work to be completed. Example being today myself and a second year apprentice were told to fit trim (arcs and skirts) for a reno house with massively mismatched drywall to window reveals in half a day.... I was wondering if you could give me advice on how best to deal with this? I really want to work for a company that takes the time to get the job done right and allows room for apprentices to learn without a frantic rush but I don't want to shop around companies while I'm doing my apprenticeship as it will delay my qualification and I will earn a bad rep.

Ross Bailey maybe could use a laser measurer, also plain the window frames where they stick out from the GIB, sounds like unrealistic expectations though and a lot can hinder how fast u can build , Akl NZ Where are u from in NZ anyway?
