This is one of the best songs ever written. UNDOUBTEDLY. When recently asked if I could listen to one more song before I died, I without hesitating said I would chuck on carry the zero. Fantastic lyrically "you've become what you thought was dumb, a fraction of the sum". And the guitar work is spine tingling.

Doug absolutely murdered the solo in this vid. He improvises a lot, so his solos can be hit or miss sometimes, but he lit the place on fire with this one. Pure emotion

I'll never forget the first time I've heard to this amazing written song, this is truly in my top favorite songs of all time! My favorite part is at 0:17 of that transition from the intro riff, into the main chorus melody. So soothing to the ear. :)

Just gonna ask, why does everyone shit on Modest Mouse and say they copied BtS? If anything, early Modest Mouse sounds more like Lync and The Pixies mixed than Built to Spill, plus, BtS supported them early on.
