A little late but you're right on! Every bower is an artist and every hand made bow a piece of art...Some are the second graders finger painting while others belong in Fine Art Museums...His are obviously the latter.

Судя по тому, как он выглядит в нагретом состоянии - наверное казеиновый. Но может быть и мездровый. Рыбий (из пузырей) - сверхдорогой, его так щедро не мажут) Хотя, чем черт не шутит? Лично я делаю клей из чешуи карповых рыб. Гораздо хуже "пузырёвого", но значительно лучше казеинового.

Thanks! It is green wood of Acer Tataricum. I put laths in rain water for 3 days, after I put in the steam for 1h.

I sure hope the next part is better than the first!! It went from straightening out the horn to wrapping the other part of the bow. So was you wrapping it with the horn on it. What was the name of the tool you used to wrap the rope with? Enjoyed and gave a Thumbs Up also

just a hint...back that first bend clip with a piece of banding steel...and actually pull the banding steel so the wood stays in compression....you will completely avoid the splitting as you bend.
