Simply too sad to finish watching. You see it all the time, either the owner thought it was worth 20K and when nobody would pay what he thought it was worth he scrapped it for 2K. Or, it was the pride and joy of some old timer and when he died his family just scrapped it without even trying to sell it. Yes, at first it's about the same cost... *yet, as soon as I learned to replace each part, I never had to learn that again. Once all parts that could possibly be replaced or refurbished like the bucket rewelded, engine rebuild, hydraulic lines, pump and piston replaced. I invested in myself and saved a lot more money.* Plus I started repairing them for other businesses and have a new business. 😎🇺🇸

A lot of it were things like brand new looking lawn tractors, brand new K-5 blazers and other GM autos that had been dropped off trucks and trains loading, accidents on assembly lines or testing. We would have 10-12 trucks. They’d send security guards with us. Couldn’t take anything off them. Not a thing wrong with motors, trans,Etc.if not to mills we were sent to other scrappers with huge shredders or crushers They come out in pieces or small blocks Just a waste. Hydraulic tank still full. All fluids should be removed before breaking.

They do that, but there is always some fluid inside which is not possible to drain out.

How depressing, looks like the remains of a steam locomotive in the background, or a boiler.

2:57 Erschreckend! Ohne vorher Diesel, Motoröl, Hydrauliköl und Kühlwaser abzulassen. Was für eine Umweltverschmutzung. In Deutschland hätte man so ein Unternehmen nach so einem Video sofort dicht gemacht.

How could you NOT paint that thing to look like a T-Rex?? Imagine setting up an observation booth and letting people bring their three year old grandkids to watch this!

That's one hell of a monster cutter arm. I'd love to see the machine it's attached to. Especially to have that kind of power

This tool is installed on Doosan DX350, not so big, but his hydraulic power is enough to operate the scrap shear.

Watched either 2 or 3 of these larger machines and about 5 of the next size smaller clawed machines all being tracked back hoes with wrecking shears clear out the complete body shop and the first two lines of assembly at the Chrysler Belvedere Assembly Plant from one end to the other in one week. It was amazing what was completely full was now empty and you could look completely through about 48 column lines of the plant completely stripped. 🐢
