Hello! Thx for great video. It inspired me to do the same to my campervan. I have one problem and would be very grateful for any feedback. How you turn on your water pump when using shower to make a pressure? In mine, kitchen tap and bath shower has 12v connections and turn on pump when used. How it’s resolved in your car? Thx a lot!

I leave my pump on all the time and it stays primed ready to use, the accumulator stops it from 'pulsing' all the time. when i use the shower the pressure drops and the pump then activates. alternatively simply have a pump on/off switch and turn it on whenever you need water for sink, toilet or shower and not bother with the 12v micro switches. i think that's what most people do. hope that helps.

Great video, so much so made me reconsider the location for my own which I’m about to fit. Keep the vids coming pal, very enjoyable and informative and always get a sense that the jobs you undertake have not only been thoroughly considered prior to being undertaken but have also been done properly.

@@keithwalden5855 I worked out carefully how much all the parts would cost before we stated so had a flavour for what it would be. did not account for the extras like the bullfinch but these bits are only small costs in the big scheme of things. we decided that if we were going to do it, might as well try, at least, to do a decent job of it. I made the decision at the start to not even begin unless the finances were in place for the components on my wish list. True I could have gone out and bought a nearly new Hymercar for the money I've spent but my spec is far far beyond... or I think they are?

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 that's why I want to do our own. You have exactly what you want. You also know how the thing is put together so that it's easier (relatively) to snag any problems. Thanks for the reply.

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 your setup is way better than the factory cookie cutter vans. And you doing it yourself and filming the whole process is a great contribution to the rest of us. This last year I have been fixing all the odds and ends on my Roadtrek. Amazing how fast it all totals up.

Yes, great idea. On my next build I am going to experiment with all different ways including that, also a large magnet I've seen used, a vacuum underneath as you might use with plasterboard drilling etc.

Another enjoyable video. Your setup is a lot more convenient than mine. Unrelated, is Salisbury Plain near Bath? We toured Bath and a small village Lacock a few years ago. Beautiful area.

Thank you. and yes, Lacock is not far from me and travel very nearby on way to golf club. We don't go to Bath very often although only 45ish mins as too many tourists and inflated prices.... sorry but true.

@@1billycandoit 😅😅 I feel your pain on that one, it was same for me. I got through a good whole small tin of hammerite white after a good hard wire brush to get the crud off. why are ex-work vans always such a state. if you are just starting my best advice would be to think carefully about order of installation. if you are doing a fly screen or step or LPG underslung tank for example, these are pretty much first and anything else that involves the van floor and holes before laying the flooring. good luck with it.👍
