I’m a copywriter and yes! I would’ve written a message focusing on their other avenues like networking (job market frustrations) and friends (to build community) so people feel comfortable staying on the app and not even mentioned celibacy because it implies hookup culture vs what they claim to want for their users. Whoever was in charge of this should be fired. It was so religious coded and shaming…gross! Rule number ONE is to know your target audience and they clearly have a different target than women or their safety so…act accordingly, ladies!🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I don't think they can't unwalk this dog. Not for me, at least. They said what they felt. That frustration from not making money on women's backs come through that messaging. They sounded just like the men they claim to have been protecting us all from. Women are getting chopped up, k-napped & SA'd on these apps & THAT message is what they chose to use for their marketing. Ladies, Bumble is a bad relationship. @Kimmaline

@@BliffleSplick any aro/ace dating site would be overrun by allos about as fast as the straight dudes with fishing pictures seem to overrun every sapphic site I've ever been on. Because, you see, women looking for other women to date or have sex with are AHHKTCHUALLY looking for cishet men. It's quite similar to how ace/aro people just haven't met the right person yet. See? Similar, but still different. But thankfully these are both problems which can be addressed by copious application of cishet men. I hate it here.

❤😊qIts not just about aro/ace... theres a popular movement going on with straight women to desentralize men from their lives in retelation to toxic masculinity weve been seeing groe, mostly coming from the red pill manosphere podcast bro's that shame women for their sexuality. Also the 4b movement in SKorea has made its way to the Western world.

No. That apology was ass. "Sorry you ladies arent putting out , here's some money to DV victims and other marginalized people, see we arent THAT bad, please use our app. The men we are targeting arent getting their product , which is you." That can take that and wipe their butts with it. While company says its woman friendly, it is not. They market dating and celibacy removes half their "product" from the app. Delete the apps. If they had a female marketing team they could have heard what actual women have been saying.

But this particular video is different because its the first time one of my thoughts was near the top. Im also cynical. i thought the campaign was bait for responses like this. People are talking about bumble now. Its easy to say it's just clueless men at the top of things like this, but really they are just jerks that know how to push buttons. It's nice that people are seeing bumble for what it is and what it was always going to become. It didnt take long for bumble to become like Target, the perfect place to hook up with women without it seeming like you're looking to hook up. People said i was jaded but they didn't hear the conversations i had with dudes that played that game.
