A little wheel standing in a fish tank is driven by air bubbles.
The wheel has little cavities along its circumference which are partly filled with air bubbles near the bottom of the fish tank. The air bubbles are imparting an upwards force on the wheel because of their buoyancy.
This principle is of course not new and many buoyancy driven mechanisms have been invented.
A buoyancy wheel is not very efficient because the air has to be pumped to the bottom of the tank. And a compressor is a very lossy machine. The wheel also experiences drag in the water.
So, the well know water wheel (water falls from above on one side of a wheel which has buckets along its circumference) would be much more efficient.
I just wanted to show that a buoyancy wheel works in principle.
