Yadana, you did great job. Thank you for performing with Myanmar tradition harp. Our burmese classic music are fading out year after year. Please keep myanmar gita alive as much as we can.

She is such a talented Burmese traditional harp player and singer. The song "Sein Chu Kyar Nyaung" is one of the best Burmese classical songs which is written by "Hlaing Hteik Kaung Tin". Yadana Oo here sang only 3 verses of it. Original song is longer.

Great performance! Five stars to Yadana Oo. I never saw you playing Saung Kauk though i know well that you sings a lot of Myanma traditional songs. Well, you gotta save you name this time. And save the name of you country. What you did here is really a hallmark of treasured Myanma Gita to the world. Keep it up! God bless you and use you talent for the betterment of Myanmar!

Really impressive! I never heard and seen of her playing harp and singing classical music before. All know that playing Burmese harp is one of the most difficult things in the musical instruments and singing Burmese classic song also very hard, too. She has great talent on Myanmar Traditional and International Musics.

viencafe The moon sheds silvery light On my gilt carved couch bright At the white glass window I sat upright, Neglected, forlorn, waiting through the night For the arrival of you, my darling dear, Now Bahosi clock Drum Strikes ‘3’ hour And the dawn is approaching so near. But you’ve not shown up, Why, I fear. On the Thazin scented bed stead, I lie awake, no sleep but stray thoughts instead With my frail hand placed on forehead Fond memories of the past rolling back Heart felt feelings in me fill to the neck. Thazin is the national flower of Myanmar In the first stanza Thazin is depicted in the gilt carvings of the couch. In the second stanza, Thazin is presented on the hair knot of the Princess and the velvet cover of her couch. Though Myanmar women are very up-to- date in their fashion of dress and hair style, they still maintain their traditional costumes and hairdos. Observe ear-boring ceremony of a Myanmar girl, as wedding of a Myanmar bride, you will see Thazin flowers gracefully adorned fittingly her hair coiffeur. Even though it is not the season of natural Thazin, paper Thazin takes the pride of place on their hairdos. Today Thazins are cultivated in the garden and back yards of the houses. It is said that Rakhine Thazins are most popular with Myanmar fairer genders of today who wear Thazin on their hair knots of any design on any ceremonial occasions. @MrUTook: What do you mean by "most narrow-minded country"? I think, Bodomar47 didn't mention about the musical influence of the said people. The said people's music stream has no room in Myanma music realm. Rather, he seems to take note of the increasingly strong cultural influence of those nations among the Burmese people. As a matter of fact, the government's political dependency itself is one of the main the pros and cons for the linguistic and fashion influence among the Myanmar people.

@MrUTook Ah, you overlook past colonial rule methinks, and are the Chinese, Koreans, Japanese etc immune to Western influence? Besides Burmese traditional instruments, like the harp here or those that make up our orchestra, have nothing to do with the West. We did adopt the Chinese jacket. Korea was unknown to us in ancient times but now has a big influence, almost constantly on Burmese TV screens. What is your beef really? All the way to Canada? Did you look East first or never bothered?
