hey annie! i just wanted to let you know, you’ve got it. i’ve watched you for a long time now and seen you struggle with many different things. and while you might not have shared the big issues in your life on camera, i’m certain you can get through them. if there’s anyone i know can do it, i’d be you. i also wanted to add that i’ve been struggling with time management, burnout and similar issues to the ones you mentioned in this video. i just wanted to say that you’ve been my main resource for motivation and organizing skills, so thank you so much for that.

you’re so well-spoken for your age. im a senior in high school rn and many of my high achieving friends and i relate to extreme burnout from those self-imposed super high expectations. i legit pretended i loved to play the flute for years just to please my parents, plus i did it for college at the same time yk. my best advice to you would be to take 1 thing off your plate (or consciously not prioritizing that thing as much) temporarily, and see the difference in ur life. bc although life is abt pushing ur self to be the best person you can be, it’s also abt happiness and it’s hard to be happy when you stack your schedule sm and then have to do deal w the anxiety of getting behind on things u legit don’t have time for. also now i have a lil hindsight, and i can see myself in u so trust me if u keep this level of stress up from a young age up it will catch up to you bc it’s already w me😭 i have hellaaaa respect for u, but ya i can see you’re struggling so that’s why i went on a lil rant but just know you are not alone and we are all just trying our best

seeing Annie truly grow through quarantine and even before that and its amazing, when I first subscribed to Annie It was because she was funny, loving and was always trying to be her best self, that was so inspiring to see. It was like another teenager on the internet and it just felt so relatable and comforting. I love her way of integrating her family into her videos and her authenticity. It makes sense that as her audience grew things started changing really fast and it was harder to be real and authentic. ahh that's it just felt like sharing this don't know if Annie's gonna read this :)))

Then I got super stuck and burnt out and I fell into a depressive state for months! Rest! Relax, take a break, don’t overwork yourself, we can wait. So with all that being said, I love your outfit 💞 Also I’m learning how to code and do business too. I love your channel so much because your about a year older than me, and our interests and goals are really similar. It’s really hard to find people around our age who are so focused on success. As a 14 year old who pretty much knows what I want to do of my life, it gets hard to just let go sometimes. In 2019, my life was changed because of covid and in 2020, I had a huge identity crisis. I got through some cyberbullying and bullying in general and I felt like my bullies were right. Currently, I am the most happy I've ever been, but I feel bad that I am not happy from time to time. This video made me realise that it is okay to feel the way you explained. Thank you so much😘

hey Annie, I’m a senior right now and you mentioning your struggles with trying to excel in multiple areas (school, yt, etc.) really resonated with me. As someone who is very goal-oriented but also extremely multi-interested, just a word of advice: it’s impossible to do more than 1 or 2 things extremely well/be getting good results in those things at any given moment. I’ve started to realize that the most successful people eventually have to choose 1 area of their life to commit to in order to achieve their goals in that area. Of course in high school, especially for you at the beginning of high school, lots of seemingly unrelated things may pique your interest so the idea of choosing 1 thing may seem daunting. And it’s completely natural if you feel that way! My advice is to try to split your priorities up in blocks (pre film KZitem videos during the weekend, focus on/ get ahead in school during the week, etc.). This way, you don’t have to constantly split your attention. Also realize that if you want to pursue your KZitem channel, school, and maybe one or two hobbies besides this, you will have to give up taking on another big extracurricular during hs since you’ll objectively have less time to add something else. For example, it’s unlikely that you’d become an amazing soccer player unless you flipped your trajectory and spent less time on KZitem. We’re only human and we were not made to love/be perfect at everything under the sun. Instead of taking on lots of obligations/extracurriculars, reflect on the skills and concepts you love to pursue (ex: content creation, product development, design, etc.) and find extracurriculars that allow you to pursue them! And as for the colleges thing, trust me, you’ll be more than fine. You are quite objectively an impressive individual that will excel anywhere you go, which means that the prestige of the schools you get into/don’t get into won’t matter. You have the ability to shape your future. Take it easy, have fun, and good luck!

Allowing change equals growth, whenever you feel you need to take a break , don't be afraid to take them, taking care of your health in all aspects always pay off, I definitely felt it when you were talking about how drained you felt + how isolating you life has felt in certain phases and how you've been feeling now, it's definitely a process but looking back you always feel so grateful. Annie, thank you for your openness and honesty about your situation. I’m currently a senior in college and I felt this way several times throughout high school and college especially when everything is in high stress mode being a pre-med stem major and a member of gen Z. I found that for me it came in waves, and I think that’s part of transitioning to “true adulthood.” You have so much life ahead of you at your age, and to be able to notice true burnout this early takes immense maturity and self-awareness. I have no doubt that you will continue to achieve amazing things in your near future. Take care, and thank you again for your transparentness.

In all honesty, I'm not surprised. I've been watching your videos for a long time now and I realized that at one point all this channel was about was being productive and I understand that this is something one wants to do. But I realized that those kinds of videos really put me down because I felt like I could've been more productive as well. Now I'm in no way trying to hurt you or say mean things or blame you for the way I perceived your videos, but I stopped watching because after a while I understood that this way of living is unhealthy and I really really hope you learn to sometimes take a break and not pressure yourself to do more and BE more even though you are already ENOUGH. If you're not reading this I hope at least some of your viewers will and understand, that it's not always about being productive, it's about enjoying your time. So what your on your phone because you really wanted to watch the newest video or you haven't learned a new language yet, or an instrument, or took extra classes? As long as your future is not suffering from it, why should you ignore what makes you happy RIGHT NOW? You will loose so much time worrying about the past and the future, in fact you will never truly LIVE. It took me a while to understand that, in fact it took me one year of therapy to do and it's still going to be a long way of recovering from those toxic habits that society decided to put on me but I truly hope that we all can learn.

I am so lost and hurt and lost the little income I had built for my family. After that she quit in the company so the company couldn’t come after her. I am 21 and I am STILL going through what you're going through. When I first started 7 years ago I was posting 2-3 times a week for YEARS and then I burned out SOOO bad and I still barely post to this day. It was hard to try to get back on track while I was in school, growing up, and changing but KZitem was doing the same as well. But I've been doing it for so long I can't see myself completely stopping but it does feel like a chore. In high school and college I'm known as "that youtube girl" and that's my label so that's another reason I feel like I can't stop because I know everybody is watching and looking up to me because it makes me stand out and it helps/inspires them. I'll have all these ideas but get really bad anxiety at the thought of filming, editing, or posting. I understand everything you're going through it's been hard to get a grasp on the reality I have created. I've been trying to fix it for years and get back to where I was but I can't get that to happen but I've been struggling with that for years. So thank you for this, glad to know I'm not alone everything you said I could relate to.

I know it's hard but that's part of growing up and I promise you no one is going to hold it against you, no one is going to judge, no is going to come after you for not being productive 24/7 because all we want is for you to be happy and if that means taking a break from KZitem then do it, it's okay we understand. Hey Annie! I’m older than you, but I am so in awe of your maturity and strength at your age. I know this is a tough time, and I don’t have all the answers. I’m rooting for you, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!💕

Hey Annie , no hate but nobody forced you to show your life on KZitem or make videos . Being burnt out is completely normal and it's completely your choice what you choose KZitem or studies or your activities . Taking breaks are completely normal and yess social media is toxic and when you get involved in it you will be judged or you compare yourself . It's your life and live it . We are here for a GOOD TIME not a LONG TIME .. Stay safe and alll the best for future ...

hey beautiful! I've seen u pop up for the past 2 years, you are doing great! dont let these hard times bring you down. It happens to everyone! take a break, when you come back you will have time to " BREATHE ". babes you and your channel have grown so much, including bringing awesome people to your channel. KZitem is KZitem, but things in the real world can be very/ more exciting. I have said it once and i will say it again! Take. A. Break! we love you!
