For an awful lot of people, myself included, it's been a long conscious process to find the feelings that are contained within, to feel those from the past, and to then learn to feel as nature intended, ie as it happens, spontaneously. I think having a strong articulate mind can be a blessing and a curse. It can be used to steer oneself away from reality, but equally it can help you to hold steady and move towards it, or to acknowledge it. It can enable the depths of feelings to bubble up and then to shine light on them so they can be understood, and it can be used to keep them rammed down, forming, as you point out, an impending explosion. I don't honestly know if the following is the case, but it feels so to me, for me. This mind of mine is a mirror image of my feelings, which are equally strong and have just as much to express. These parts of me can work in tandem (as they largely do these days) or in opposition. But I do know that my intellect is the tip of the iceberg. What lies beneath is much larger, and whatever the illusion might appear to be, remains in charge.

Beautifully put. My intellect is something that is hard to discuss because is is not down to the individual to claim the heights of depths of such facts. I am on the same page as you on so many regards when I read your words - same page but differing paragraphs maybe - maybe even in the same book, different chapters. Thank you for ALWAYS taking the time to respond openly & honestly, lots of love x

I think it’s an important issue to talk about regardless of how difficult it is.

I have zero filter and need to use it for good - I have been the opposite in my lifetime & want my epitaph to be a good one

It's interesting how psychologists use terms like you do. "Lethal explosives" etc. They talk about pressure building up as well. It's absolutely true though. I was a miserable and damaged child. It has affected me to this day.

At least we have the self awareness and introspection to work out why we are so broken.
