If you are looking to get into bushcraft and perhaps get some books on the subject, the choices can be overwhelming. I've put this short video together to hopefully help those people looking where to start. I've chosen three of my favourite bushcraft books and this video is about why I think they are good choices for beginners to bushcraft.
The 10 Bushcraft books by Richard Graves: Probably one of the first books out there to coin the term bushcraft, Graves has compiled decades of real life experience into this collection. This book includes 10 core topics, including survival skills, bushcraft tools, and the importance of understanding the environment. You can use this book to get a thorough understanding of the basics of bushcraft and work your way up from there.
Out on the Land by Lars Falt and Ray Mears: Full to the brim with full colour images and detailed information, Out on the Land is full of helpful tips that will help you build your bushcraft skills. From building a shelter to foraging for food, Mears covers it all. If you are looking for a comprehensive guide to bushcraft, this book is for you.
Northern Bushcraft by Mors Kochanski: This is an absolute must-have for any bushcraft beginner. It is considered a classic for bushcraft enthusiasts and provides comprehensive guidance on the basics of bushcraft. It covers topics like shelter-building, fire-building, tools, food and water procurement, and many more. It is an ideal guide if you are looking to develop your bushcraft skills.
