CharlieTango 1 Hello CT. I can't agree that the Bushbox is a copy. Firebox almost got the perfect design but for my money it's too heavy, as is the SS Bushbox. The only similarity is the fact that they are "boxes". The folding mechanism together with the ultra-fast flip-down, integral grate and ashpan are unique to the Bushbox. Firebox showed the way but Bushbox found the path. Bushbox Ti is very expensive but it is THAT good I don't regret having paid it.
@charlietango186

Lets just say then, that this design was not Bushboxes, they did have the perfect design and that is why Bushcraft have it, let's just say I know more than I am letting on. enjoy your camping atb Ray
@TheRunereaper
9 жыл бұрын
CharlieTango 1 Ray, if you had something to do with designing the Firebox then all I can say is that I waited a long time for the Firebox Ti design to be perfected. It never came. I know that there were a lot of issues with warping and it's something I try to avoid with the Bushbox by not having a raging fire. (The grate on the Bushbox is SS). May I respectfully suggest that any inventor needs to keep his ideas closer to his chest than a straight flush. Loose talk costs millions. I wish you well. Paul.

Stephen Tutty The firebox and bushbox xl are very similar, hard to say which is better. I like them both, but also like the solo stove because it is super efficient and the 180 tack stoves because they are more open and support a lot of weight.

I received the Bushbox Xl Ti. It weights about just over 500g with the case. There are so many scratches on the unit. I think the Ti material is more susceptible to scraches then stainless steel. I like the way I can use my Evernew alcohol stove with this unit. I carry 4 skewers with the Bushbox so that I can cook lamb kabobs outdoors.

How does this compare to the Firebox? I have the Firebox, and almost bought this, but I heard this warps easier than the Firebox. Also the prices are way higher... I got the Firebox from Amazon for 90$ (Canadian). This thing is closer to 120$ ?!?! (Over 150 on Amazon Canada) Seems a bit steep for what I see as an inferior product. But would like to hear your thoughts seeing as how you have both... I do like that Bushbox offers a Ti version though (but it's like 300$!!)

This is the better cooking box, due to being heavy duty, stainless Steel, so don't get a cheaper model, get this X L. and also remember that the put together type, means you must see good enough to put together, even in the dark, plus you can not afford to loose just once side panel of the cheaper type, . so U get what U pay 4, and pay 4 what U get. This is one of the best, . NO doubt.

CharlieTango 1 I've had the talk with Steve stating they copied the design, however they are not the same design. Similar designs are the nature of the business. Both great stoves and there are better ones out there than both of them.
@adriantyler6911
9 жыл бұрын
+CharlieTango 1 The Firebox stove is A-symmetrical, the Bushbox is symmetrical and I find easier to use and aesthetically more pleasing. The Bushbox has a feeding gap for wood better than any other stove of this type. Different stove on the same theme and as you say pretty much a copy......however, although the Firebox may have been first, the Bushbox is a definite improvement! I have both. (I also have a genuine 'wild stoves' woodgas stove which is very hot, but crap, so don't get one of those whoever is reading this!)

Your cooking skills leave much to be desired friend. Far too much water to cook the noodles. A bit of a waste in a survival and also time conservation factor. Also you splatter your food everywhere... Then... you heated your sauce, poured it into your meal... then washed out and wiped out the same container you placed the same stuff in... really...
