Alex Hormozi’s channel makes you feel like you can sell anything. MFM makes you feel like you can build anything. That’s the essence of it.

you missed the stories of why ed thorp left the casino and the investing world. casinos wanted him out so they drugged his drinks and messed with the brakes of his car. he left the investing world after his firm was raided (whole another story).

This is why I listen - because I leave each MFM pod believing it's possible. Politics used to be called "the art of the possible" but I think that definition is a better description for micro-preneurship.

Long time listener and first time commenter... I really enjoy your pod and I especially enjoyed this episode. I've always tried to do what I enjoy and for the first 15 years of my working career that was doing something (personal training) that I really enjoyed in the moment and it fulfilled me however wasn't overly lucrative. As a hobby I started playing jokes to my wife, filming her reaction and posting it on the internet. Random I know. What started as a hobby I did just for the enjoyment has now become my job. I feel like I've retired even though I'm still putting in huge hours because I love doing it so much. Thank you lads for keeping me entertained and inspired.

Notices the editors are cutting the speech of each podcaster to cut out the silence. I assume this is to keep up with the TikTok attention span that todays listeners all have. Huge fan of the podcast, but I am against this editing technique. picked this up around the 36:00 mark

I'm constantly impressed by your guys' memory recall lol. Majority of these stories and references are already familiar to me (and I'm sure much of your audience) but to casually callout the exact name, important details, connect them to other stories reaffirming the principle or topic in context, and without fumble, feed off each other. Crazy to think nothing is scripted or heavily edited lol. Love the content as always.

Sam’s insights from the beginning of the episode is wonderful. It’s hard for me to focus on doing interesting things because I already have a life goal so everything I try to do should be maximizing towards that end. It is interesting to know that the ways to become extremely effective, successful, or wealthy is to act according things that are interesting to you. And only that- interesting. Paul Graham talks about this in his essay on how to do great work. No one who became extremely successful hated the work that led to their greatness. Jordan Peterson calls it play. Pursue bliss?
