One of the most interesting places to see in Northern Arizona is Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert! The best part is, you're literally visiting them both at the same time when you're in the northern half of the Park (off I-40)! Since we stayed overnight at a free campsite on the South end, we drove all the way through the park from South to North, and then back down again, stopping at points of interest and hiking trails along the way. Although we spent a day-and-a-half at the park, it wasn't enough time to thoroughly enjoy all the park had to offer. We could have done most of it in 2 full days, but might have enjoyed it at a more leisurely pace over three days or even more! Oh, and if you go there, plan to do the short hiking trails first thing in the morning, with plenty of water! We actually can't wait to come back here again and finish the parts we haven't yet seen!

About Us:
Hi! We are Mike & Kerry, the proud owners of a 1992 Bluebird rear engine (pusher), 40' school bus! We named her Bussy McBusface in honor of the RRS Boaty McBoatface travesty!
We built a Tiny-Home-in-a-Bus for full-time living in the most adventure-friendly way possible! In other words, Bussy will not be parked in our driveway, waiting for weekend or holiday getaways... when we finish the build, we'll be packing everything we're keeping into the bus and driving away from this old house forever!
We plan to be boondocking the majority of the time, so you'll see that reflected in our choices throughout the build (100 gallon water tank, composting toilet, solar power system, etc). We'd love to have you stick around and follow us on our journey, throughout the Skoolie Build, and to Infinite Adventures Beyond!
Mike & Kerry
