Black is black. African. Jamaican. Black culture is all of them together. That's why we're so without identity. Cuz the whole world is our identity. And as a 33 degree mason buster should already know why they did black Americans the way they did us as the true Egyptians. As the true chosen children. We had to be made to forget for the safety of everyone else who wasn't black to shine. So for him to add insult to injury. He should be lucky to not have been bood off stage

Lost a lot of fans saying Jamaicans invented hip hop and black Americans don’t have a culture.
@veshaw.
Ай бұрын
I have heard this argument before and it's not true. Jamaicans contributed to hip Hop but they didn't invent it, That misinformation came from an interview. Where a reggae artist in London said that hip hop came from Jamaicas more specifically toastin a form of rhyming very fast which sounds completely different than the hip hop lyrics of the time, reggae music comes from Calypso and ska music The early reggae artist s were doing covers of R&B Motown in doo-wop songs That's a story for another time. As early as the late 1930s black Americans were rhyming words to music and joints in Chicago in the rural South long before Jamaicans found their identity in music I love Jamaicans I love reggae. I love ska I love the culture and the people in the island and the food are respectfully Jamaicans did not invent hip hop music.

Nah, fcuk that. I don’t care if I am a Busta fan, dude you not gon disrespect Black Americans and say we have no culture. Busta, you Jamaican. You have what you have because of the culture of Black Americans. I promise you most native jamaicans ain’t playing no Busta Rhymes records. Respect us, dude. We sitting down. Matter of fact.. Fk it. We out! 🚪 🔥

Lies, millennial and Gen X Jamaicans definitely grew up listening to Busta Rhymes and Hip Hop in general- broaden your scope. Biggie was literally Jamaican along with a ton of other rappers like Heavy D, Redman, Peppa, Slick Rick, Canibus etc. Jamaicans contributed heavily to Hip Hop.

@@user-dv3kq3rm4h You need to broaden you’re reading comprehension dude. Reread what I said. “Most native Jamaicans” meaning those who are currently living inJamaica or were born there. There’s some ppl playing his music out there but his largest fan base are Black Americans. We’ve always supported Busta and he owes us an apology. Busta insulted Black Americans so I’m standing up for my people just like you would yours. The f’k up part is we were all on the same boat over here but it seems some of you think you’re better than us or something when all we do is show everyone love. That’s foul. Yea, Jamaicans and others contributed to hip hop but this is still Black American music and our cultural influences are felt all over the world more than anyone else’s.

I remember being at the Fever in the Bronx in the early 90’s and KRS was performing. Every single person in the club was jumping up and down and I thought the floor was going to cave in. No one controlled a crowd like the Blastmaster.

I FELT THIS SHIT!!! I was at the Erykah Badu show in ATL last year and everybody I was in the section with was sitting and had the nerve to get mad at me for not sitting down at her concert. GET YO ASS UP and BE HERE! It was over when Erykah told everybody sitting to get up and get active. If you're not dead, then you can dance.
