KZitem money is a thing, but unfortunately I don’t think I can make that kind of money review or doing toy content.. half of my coworkers looked into turning my channel into some mainstream and they all suggested it is not a worthwhile effort.. not in this economy.
Gaming is cheaper and attracts 100x more people than luxury goods, even if it is $1 it is still a luxury.
I been on youtube for 7 years and I put 10x more effort into my channel than these folks whom making gaming content for 3 years. They have a company that employees people with a living salary, my youtube ad revenue can’t even pay for a $150 figure.
Also seems like people in the toy community are more and more cavalier with their finances than before. I am not promoting any more financial irresponsibility on the internet. Leave that to the Fin fluencers/scammers/fake gurus.
Collectibles are luxury goods, when people are desperate enough.. it will be the first to go and for less than half or fraction of how much they pay for. The addicts will never stop, I would honestly preferred to be in a community were folks enjoy this hobby than being full blown addicts to every thing corporation brainwashed us into buying.
Don’t let the addicts turn you folks into to addicts, it is and always will be unjustifiable behavior. I was an addict and I know well enough, it is financial suicide and a money pit that benefits corporations that really only cares about profits and not consumers. Falling down this rabbit hole, you will never have money for anything else. The vicious cycle has never been more vicious.
Everything in moderation, buy what you like and enjoy it. Don’t keep buying for the sake of feeding the beast, the beast is insatiable and the more you feed it the more insatiable it becomes.
