What's funny to me is that for Nirvana four takes before nailing a song was considered a lot. I know most big bands I've heard similar kinds of history stories of spending all day or even a couple days trying to get just one song is considered normal.

even funnier was, that a lot of Bleach, which was done on the Sub Pop label, was done in 1 take...with a few songs going right into the next all without a cut. probably contributing to only costing ~$600 to produce.

It was a genius decision to make it the official listed closing track* on Nevermind (*Yes, technically "Endless, Nameless" closes-out Nevermind, but it's an unlisted track that you had to wait thru about ten minutes of silence in order to listen to on the CD copy. Plus, after the initial pressing of the first 50,000-100,000 copies of the album in that format, DGC dropped the unlisted track from the subsequent batch of pressings before adding it back in on the next batch and on all subsequent batches; so, there are copies of Nevermind out there where the album ends right at the conclusion of play for "Something In The Way")
