Since watching your videos, I find myself trying to make more things from scratch. Thank you from Minnesota.

THANK YOU so very much for that, Kathleen! I love knowing that I can get an even better deal elsewhere. I really should check out Menard's more often, but I've never kept up with their prices and rebate deals. I'm definitely adding the vinegar to my Dollar Tree list! :)

How do you make your cocoa?
@kathleen4579
7 ай бұрын
@@pennynickels5216 Hot Cocoa Mix 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder with 2 tablespoons sugar. Set aside. Heat 1 cup milk over medium heat. Once it's warm, gradually add the cocoa mixture, stirring constantly. Add a drop of vanilla. I serve mine with mini marshmallows. There are a lot of different recipes online, some using dry milk powder.

Ducklings are expensive! I think I saw some online and they were selling for $10 each. This is why we incubate our own ducklings and chicks every year now. We had to make an initial investment to get the specific breeds that we wanted, but now we can hatch our own fertile eggs. We do still currently buy meat birds each year though. :)

I have one question. With Amazon, unless you spend a certain amount. Don't you have to add in shipping? As you can tell, I 've never bought through Amazon.
@ozarkfamilyhomestead
7 ай бұрын
Yes, that's how it works! You can buy an Amazon Prime membership and then you get free shipping all the time. However, we do not buy that service, so I always have to make sure our orders are above $35 so they'll qualify for free shipping. A lot of times I will just add an item to my Amazon cart and leave it there. Then, over the course of days or weeks, I'll add other items as I find additional supplies I need for our home. It sure doesn't take too long to reach that $35 amount! Then I'll place the order once we've reached the free shipping. :)

@ozarkfamilyhomestead

Loss Leaders are the items that are on sale each week that the store might actually lose money on because the sale price is so discounted. The store hopes that you will come in to buy the sale items and then pick up regular priced items while you're in there. :)
