Im sorry I believe that 1st foal is going to out grow your expectations by far! I think you're cutting her out of your shortlist too too soon! Ive seen waaay to many Arabians not fed appropriately in their first months, only to shoot up surprisingly when adequately supported! Of course, when placed back in the unsupportive environment, all privilege was lost.😣 and the "owner s" were always baffled...?🤔🙄 no, NO foal will thrive, no matter their genetics on a diet of substandard hay and only mother's milk based on that hay.🙄 I don't go overboard on feeding, too much does just as much damage as too little, but I make sure they've got what they need to allow them to reach their growth potential! If that happens to be a full 2 hands more than others born in the same week..with no issues, I can only believe I'm doing just fine. When vet exams and x-rays show nothing to be concerned about, I feel vindicated.🤷♀️💕😘 I've also NEVER had a single case of epiphisitis! Tyvm!

Of these, I like the chestnut colt (with the palomino momma), and the buckskin filly. The chestnut colt holds his head so elegantly, and he has enough white markings to make him stunning to look at, and his personality seems so sweet! The buckskin filly is so pretty and flashy...too bad you couldn't get in there with her. However, I wouldn't let her "wildness" deter you...if you choose her, you'll have her tame in no time flat! Can't wait to see the others tomorrow. You are going to have a difficult decision to make...but which ever you choose will be the luckiest horse in the world! I am so excited for you! 😊

I apologize for being talkative, but I missed something you said which, watching the video for the second time, is the factor that I now realize was my decision factor for years: the neck and it's attachment to the barrel. A smooth blend from the base of the skull to the lumbar spine always stood out as being a horse with endurance and a comfortable gait. It was also a horse less likely to develop neck and back problems. By the same token, dishing was an automatic disqualifier; though I couldn't explain why dishing bothered me, but paddling didn't. It's funny, if I was buying outside of the breed, I would have chosen the buckskin filly and the colt immediately after, based solely upon their conformation and carriage. Also, neither one is nervous or shy, one of the reasons we stuck with Morgans and Standardbreds, which tended to be very amiable and rather phlegmatic. It's amazing the things that suddenly dawn on you 70 years later!

I had thought exactly the same thing about the body/neck connection on the warmblood filly. I thought she might grow out of it, but sadly it looked a bit worse in the new video. I LOVE 2-coloured horses - I have had 2 of those myself in my younger years - but ofcourse they need to have the right hight. The buckskin filly is beautiful, but wild and the young chestnut colt is very people oriented and bold, but maby to calm for you. What a difficult choice - can't wait to see, what you choose.

Really liked the chestnut at the end. Outstanding temperament and has been so loved. Love the fact he's been handled so well and really looked after.. Like the buckskin for colour but with a filly wildchild think she'll wind your boys up too much. Shame she's not even been handled or brushed and lead. Would have been nice to see a head collar on her and see her more closely. Can't understand why people do that. Funny feeling about her. Good luck.😊

To start with, I have absolutely no expertise to comment .. but I will anyway. The buckskin filly was lovely. It is hard to know how she'd impact your boys. Though it is hard when she hasn't been handled, she did seem interested in you ... so that was good. She'll be more work and there are more unknowns character wise, but she is very pretty. The friendly little chestnut was very appealing. He is a handsome little fellow and he was very friendly and calm. For just about a year, that impressed me. He moved well. I liked his momma too. I don't envy your position to have to choose. (Actually I really do envy your position ... 😉) They are both lovely and either of them would be such fun and a joy to work with.

Of the ones on this video, I like the last little chestnut yearling. He was so gentle and willing to let you touch him all over. I also liked his older brother, but until you see him tomorrow he is still an unknown in his temperament. What I find odd is if the buckskin filly and the chestnut colts were on the same farm, why were they handled so differently? One is left out 24/7 and is wild. The other is brought in at night and is handled and is clearly comfortable around people. They are both young yearlings. As a former breeder I just find this very strange. It's better to have your young horses on the same schedule especially if you're breeding to sell. Only you know their prices so I can't judge that. Looking forward to seeing more tomorrow, but for now that little chestnut colt is my favorite.

Plus the fact he's been handled nicely. As a trail rider myself, I much prefer a gelding, as they are more stable in temperament, as I don't really want to deal with a mare in season monthly, and the moods , as I am not interested in breeding. In all my years, I only had one mare, that didn't get witchy. The older Chestnut, wants to run all the time, and not trot much. Concerns me. Maybe more comfortable to run. So hard to judge even by video. Have to see. Wish you happy horse hunting.

1st. Vet check. Buckskin girl I would pass on. She's a wild child, to much unknown. And I would think safety first. At our age it's to high a chance for injury to yourself. Any injury has a chance for cascading to other things. Stay safe so you can continue to enjoy your horses. If they started working with her and your willing to wait. I'd wait to see her progress after 2 or 3 months. You need some basics of leading, feet and signs of a calm mind. On the other hand, I think the chestnut is exactly at the place you want them to be. He was a little unsure, ears back, when lifting his feet but he stayed put and trusted. No reaction...

Rewatching these and I really love how you truly picked them by their potential and not color. See a lot of ponies picked for their flashiness.

I loved the coloured so stunning, such a shame they wont grow to the height you would like , however the chestnut was beautiful and so friendly, I'm sure you will make the right choice x

I dont have a horse, i used to ride a bit when i was little but nothing super advanced we were too far from stables to go often. I really wanted horses when i was little but i dont know what i would do with one , i cant remember how to ride so i dont think there is much point t_t.They are so beautiful ive always loved them. I really enjoy your channel, hearing your knowledge about horses and just things i have no idea about. Its incredibly interesting :)

I like the chestnut with the blaze down his face, his personality is very sweet and he's not rattled at all by the plastic bag. If he's an Andalusian, he's not going to be a big one. His older brother is very impressive but I am wondering how would he get along with Farouk and Apollo in the paddock.

Had to see this video in 2 parts, started watching but had to go out, booked a slot at our local National trust, no signal there so l've been dying to get home to see the rest !! Love the chestnut he certainly was beautiful, friendly & curious. The buckskin is gorgeous, but like others have said, why has she not been handled yet ? Met a lovely lady last year with a beautiful palamino & l fell in love with his name, Cortez, it really suited him & very unusual! Looks like l'll be leaping out of bed for the next few days, eager to see the next videos. Which ever one you get they are going to a lovely caring home, with 2 beauties to have for company.

I really like the buckskin. I think a little ground work and she'll be wonderful. The Chestnut is lovely but I'm concerned about the right fore. That's a lot of sideways movement in each stride, and it may get worse when you add weight. I had an Arab that winged on the right fore and he got arthritis in the knee so bad he couldn't even straighten his leg.

I would suggest looking at Ravine Ranch Sport Horses. They are in Canada and have quite a selection of good foals coming up as well as a few older ones. They have mainly Dutch WB, Hanoverian cross. I owned one who had the best temperament. If they haven’t posted the foals yet, you can find Scott King on KZitem as he’s posting as they come along.
